At what age should girls learn about menstruation?

Thank you for asking about when to educate your daughter about menstruation. Many parents are unsure about when to talk about sex, puberty and relationships with their children. In general, education on these topics is a lifelong process, unlikely to be completed in one conversation or “the talk”. It is safe to follow the idea of starting early and talking often.
